Jarida la Kusafiri #13 - Merry Christmas

We're back and wishing you a Merry Christmas! With the way the year has turned out I think it's safe to say that at least this year is coming to an end! With that being said there's no reason not to celebrate Christmas this year and we've got some ideas that could make it special!

Food Pairing

If your thinking of spicing it up this Christmas why not try having Nyama Choma this year-

round? Nyama Choma is basically marinated red meat barbecued.

Recommended is mild Maggi for marination and getting the flank pieces from your local butchers.

Use the Maggi to rub on to the flank and let that sit for around 5 minutes before its thrown on the BBQ, the best results are usually barbecued.

You could serve this with Kachumbari which is chopped onions, tomato, coriander, and avocado. Mix this all together and ensure the avocado is cut to fine pieces to allow it to be spread as a paste.

Of course, we would recommend some Muratelia as the perfect beverage to pair with, but we will let you be the judge of that. So give it a go, it could be the ending you were wishing for!

Drinking Games

One drinking game that we think is both economical and be a lot of fun is a tasting game.

If you have a variety of alcoholic drinks in your house, pour them into small sample shots and guess what drink it is.

Use your facemask as a blindfold while tasting. This can be both educational if you buy drinks that are unusual in your home and romantic at the same time!

We are officially back and wish you a Merry Christmas. Let's keep our glasses filled with bubbles and smiling for a prosperous new year!!
